Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister says he’ll provide information about additional enforcement of COVID-19 public health orders at 11 a.m.

CBC Manitoba will live stream the news conference here and on Facebook, Twitter and CBC Gem.

At the beginning of April, Pallister announced Manitobans who ignore public health orders could face fines nearly $500 fines.

Winnipeg Mayor Brian Bowman has expressed confusion over who is in charge of enforcement and says it’s especially important as the May long weekend draws near.

On Wednesday, public health officials announced no new cases of COVID-19 in Manitoba, leaving the province’s total at 290.

There have been seven deaths from the coronavirus in Manitoba.
