Manitoba announces another COVID-19 death on Thursday

WINNIPEG — The province has announced 22 new cases of COVID-19 and one new death on Thursday.

According to provincial data, a new death related to COVID-19 was announced in the Southern Health Region. This brings the total number of deaths to 14.

The death is a woman in her 90s, and the province said it is linked to an outbreak at the Bethesda Place in Steinbach.

Dr. Brent Roussin, chief provincial public health officer, and Health Minister Cameron Friesen will be speaking at a news conference at 1 p.m. at the Manitoba Legislative Building. CTV News Winnipeg will live-stream the event.
