There are two new cases of COVID-19 in Manitoba, Chief Provincial Public Health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin says.

The total number of presumed and confirmed cases of COVID-19 is now 289.

There were two more cases discovered on the weekend that are related to a workplace outbreak in the Prairie Mountain Health Region, Roussin said Monday. A total of three new cases were announced over the weekend.

The two related to the workplace cluster are close contacts of employees who tested positive for the virus, but they don’t work there.

There are four people in hospital in Manitoba with COVID-19 as of Monday; one of them is in intensive care.

There are 35 active cases and 247 people have recovered from the virus.

More to come.
